This is my latest drawing. Some of you may think that this is not very good and some of you will like it. To be honest I know it is not the best of portraits ever to grace us but I see this as my art and thats what counts.I feel I have come a long way in a short space of time and by sticking at it i know I can draw better portraits. By looking at my earlier stuff I am confident that you will see an improvement. When I speak of earlier stuff I am literally talking of months rather than years. I hope you enjoy looking at drawing. I copied this from a photograph which I spotted. The reason I wanted to draw this young lady was because the photograph popped out at me. She shows a lot of character and it looked a cheerful picture. I asked for permission to draw it before I started. I must admit that I fought with this drawing a lot. Putting things in the right place on a portrait is paramount because it will stand out to the person looking at it. I eventually got to the end but like all drawings there comes a point when you have to put the pencil down and say enough is enough. That is the toughest part for me personally.

I presented the drawing to the mother of this young lady and She liked it and thats all that matters. I would like to draw this picture again one day just to get it perfect.
